Youth Convention 2026, organized by the Ramakrishna Mission, Narottam Nagar, was held on 5th May 2026 at the Vivekananda Sabhagriha. The day-long programme brought together nearly 400 youth from Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, along with teachers and monks, to inspire character-building and self-development in the light of Swami Vivekananda’s ideals.
The convention opened with devotional songs, lamp-lighting, and Vedic chanting, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. Sessions focused on themes such as “Man-Making, Character-Building Education” and “Modern-Day Problems and the Youth.” Eminent speakers, including Swami Shubhakaranandaji Maharaj (Agartala) and Swami Bodhamayanandaji Maharaj (Hyderabad), delivered impactful addresses on cultivating self-respect, integrity, and concentration as foundations of success and noble character.
Cultural performances, documentary screenings, and an interactive “Youth Speaks” session enriched the programme, encouraging active participation and dialogue. The convention concluded with reflections from students and teachers, distribution of certificates, and a call to action urging youth to apply the lessons in daily life.
