On January 12, 2024, Ramakrishna Mission, Narottam Nagar celebrated the 40th National Youth Day. Held annually on 12th January, this day pays tribute to Swami Vivekananda, born on the same date in 1863, whose life and teachings continue to inspire and guide generations of young minds.
Swami Achyuteshananda ji, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Narottam Nagar reminded the audience of the immense potential that lies within each young individual. Guest Speaker Mr Subroto Banerjee shared his wisdom and insights on the celebrations. Mst. Nana Juna Riang of class 12 rendered a speech on Swami Vivekananda’s message for the youth and its relevance in today's society. Mst. Phuntso Tashi Gyamo of class 12 recited 'The living God' penned by Swami Vivekananda. The celebrations also included soulful bhajans by the students of the higher secondary section, and floral tributes to the Swami Vivekananda statue at Vivekananda Marg by monastic members, staff, and students. Staff members and students in grades 9 through 12 took part in the programme.
